Anxiety and tension
Constant worry, tension held in the body, trouble falling asleep, avoiding situations that were never a problem before. Anxiety can be persistent and exhausting, and it responds well to psychotherapy — we work on what keeps it going and on gradually regaining your freedom of movement.
Depression and low mood
No energy, losing interest in things that used to matter, a sense of emptiness or pointlessness, a harsh inner voice. We work on restoring contact with what matters to you and on softening that severity towards yourself.
Trauma and difficult experiences
Memories that return long after the event; bodily reactions out of proportion to the situation; the sense that something inside has stayed behind in the past. For trauma I use EMDR, a method with well-established evidence behind it.
Relationship difficulties
Recurring conflicts, difficulty setting boundaries, fear of rejection or of closeness, feeling misunderstood. We look at what happens in your relationships and where those patterns came from.
Life crises
Separation, grief, illness, losing work, moving country, becoming a parent. Moments when the ways you have coped until now stop being enough. Therapy offers somewhere to stop and put things back in order.
Recurring patterns
The sense that you keep ending up in the same situations, the same relationships, the same reactions — even though you understand what is happening. Schema Therapy addresses exactly this: deep patterns formed early that run automatically.
Severe stress and overload
Work, responsibilities and a pace of life beyond what your body can carry. Irritability, disrupted sleep, the feeling that there is nothing left to draw on. We work on recognising your limits and on what can realistically change.
